A 'True Life' Story
Updated: Sep 27, 2021

When we know a film, a book, a story is based on truth, it's suddenly a whole lot more interesting, isn't it? There's a fascination in unravelling connections, interpreting events, working out how we might behave in similar scenario's, or weighing up how such things might manifest in our own life experience. I considered this when I created The Tree Tarot. I was inspired to build bridges of meaning between the knowledge, science and technical understanding I had accrued during my working life as a professional arboriculturalist and our metaphysical understanding of ourselves - our mental functioning, our emotional motivators, our feelings of deep connectivity with this green planet. I believe I've achieved what I set out to do. The Tree Tarot is not some divination tool based on imagination-driven, sometimes alarming, mysticism but rather a nature-informed guide to positive self-reflection, linking the real ever-present processes of nature to our own, human, experience of life on Earth.
Do you hang on to 'Deadwood', unable to let go of redundant inner states? Give some thought and energy to addressing that and see how your world transforms. Is there a spark within you right now, ready to leap up with the ferocity of a forest fire, fuelling you to throw out your own flames of creativity? Think about this, allow the fire to burn and just see what happens next. Or perhaps your artistic flair feels suppressed and you wait your moment impatiently, as the Maple waits for autumn to dazzle us with its awesome colour display?

If you have never been attracted to the 'woo-woo' of cartomancy, if you have no idea what a 'Tarot' is about, but if you love this incredible green planet and feel your connection with the awesome nature of it, give The Tree Tarot a try. You won't be disappointed. It is a completely unique concept.
